Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does. (niv)

His wisdom is profound, his power is vast. Who has resisted him and come out unscathed? (niv)

For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong.They are free from common human burdens; they are not plagued by human ills.Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence.From their callous hearts comes iniquity; their evil imaginations have no limits.They scoff, and speak with malice; with arrogance they threaten oppression.Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth.Therefore their people turn to them and drink up waters in abundance.They say,“ How would God know? Does the Most High know anything?”This is what the wicked are like— always free of care, they go on amassing wealth. (niv)

Why do you boast of evil, you mighty hero? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?You who practice deceit, your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor.You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth.You love every harmful word, you deceitful tongue!Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin: He will snatch you up and pluck you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him:“ What have you done?” (niv)
