草野均霑膏澤、山岳無不歡呼、

春沐主之澤。秋食主之祿。芳蹤之所過。步步留肥沃。

The grasslands of the wilderness overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness.

The grass grows thick even in the desert. The hills are dressed with gladness.

The pastures of the wilderness overflow, the hills gird themselves with joy,

The wilderness pastures overflow, and the hills are robed with joy.

The pastures of the wilderness drip, And the hills encircle themselves with rejoicing.

They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, And the little hills rejoice on every side.

They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness; And the hills are girded with joy.

Who makes the rain fall on barren land, in a desert where no one lives?Who sends rain to satisfy the parched ground and make the tender grass spring up?

You make springs pour water into the ravines, so streams gush down from the mountains.They provide water for all the animals, and the wild donkeys quench their thirst.The birds nest beside the streams and sing among the branches of the trees.You send rain on the mountains from your heavenly home, and you fill the earth with the fruit of your labor.

For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.“ The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry.It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands!Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow. Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up. These events will bring great honor to the Lord’s name; they will be an everlasting sign of his power and love.”

You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength.

I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.The Sovereign Lord will show his justice to the nations of the world. Everyone will praise him! His righteousness will be like a garden in early spring, with plants springing up everywhere.

Don’t be afraid, you animals of the field, for the wilderness pastures will soon be green. The trees will again be filled with fruit; fig trees and grapevines will be loaded down once more.
