Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the plots of evildoers.

Hide me from evil people who talk about how to harm me. Hide me from those people who are planning to do evil.

Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the throng of evildoers,

Hide me from the plots of this evil mob, from this gang of wrongdoers.

Hide me from the scheming of wicked people, from the mob of evildoers,

Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,

Hide me from the secret counsel of evil- doers, From the tumult of the workers of iniquity;

Hide me from the scheming of wicked people, from the mob of evildoers,

Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:

Hide me from the plots of evil men, from the crowd of evildoers.

Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the noisy crowd of the ones doing evil;

Save me, Lord, from my enemies; I take refuge in You.

But I was like a gentle lamb led to the slaughter; And I did not know that they had devised plots against me, saying,“ Let’s destroy the tree with its fruit, And let’s cut him off from the land of the living, So that his name will no longer be remembered.”

You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of mankind; You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.

Rescue me from those who practice injustice, And save me from men of bloodshed.

For they have opened a wicked and deceitful mouth against me; They have spoken against me with a lying tongue.They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, And have fought against me without cause.

They attack, they lurk, They watch my steps, As they have waited to take my life.

For on the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; He will hide me in the secret place of His tent; He will lift me up on a rock.

requesting a concession against Paul, that he might have him brought to Jerusalem( at the same time, setting an ambush to kill him on the way).

But You, Lord, know All their deadly schemes against me; Do not forgive their wrongdoing Or wipe out their sin from Your sight. But may they be overthrown before You; Deal with them in the time of Your anger!

Each will be like a refuge from the wind And a shelter from the storm, Like streams of water in a dry country, Like the shade of a huge rock in an exhausted land.

The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers conspire together Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,

At that time the chief priests and the elders of the people were gathered together in the courtyard of the high priest named Caiaphas;and they plotted together to arrest Jesus covertly and kill Him.

Lord, how my enemies have increased! Many are rising up against me.

And I will attack him while he is weary and exhausted and startle him, so that all the people who are with him will flee. Then I will strike and kill the king when he is alone,and I will bring all the people back to you. The return of everyone depends on the man whom you are seeking; then all the people will be at peace.”And the plan pleased Absalom and all the elders of Israel.

They came to the chief priests and the elders and said,“ We have put ourselves under an oath to taste nothing until we have killed Paul.Now therefore, you and the Council notify the commander to bring him down to you, as though you were going to investigate his case more thoroughly; and as for us, we are ready to kill him before he comes near the place.”

But they cried out all together, saying,“ Away with this man, and release to us Barabbas!”( He was one who had been thrown into prison for a revolt that took place in the city, and for murder.)But Pilate, wanting to release Jesus, addressed them again,but they kept on crying out, saying,“ Crucify, crucify Him!”And he said to them a third time,“ Why, what has this man done wrong? I have found in His case no grounds for a sentence of death; therefore I will punish Him and release Him.”But they were insistent, with loud voices, demanding that He be crucified. And their voices began to prevail.

Go now, be more persistent, and investigate and see his place where he is hiding, and who has seen him there; for I am told that he is very cunning.So look, and learn about all the hiding places where he keeps himself hidden, and return to me with certainty, and I will go with you; and if he is in the land, I will search him out among all the thousands of Judah.”

Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? And why is your face gloomy?
