我的性命在狮子中间；我躺卧在性如烈火的世人当中。他们的牙齿是枪、箭；他们的舌头是快刀。

至于我的性命，我好像躺卧在吞噬人的狮子当中；他们的牙齿是枪、箭，他们的舌头是快刀。

我處獅中、與火性之世人共臥、其齒為戈矢、其舌為利刃兮、

仇敵環攻、如獅之吞噬、如火之燎原、斯世之人、齒若戈矢、舌若鋒刃兮。

我困於群獅間、臥於口吐火焰之人中、其人牙如槍如箭、舌如利刃、

自天降佑。莫使併吞。敵人肆虐。祈爾施恩。

I am in the midst of lions; I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts— men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.

Men who are like lions are all around me. I am forced to lie down among people who are like hungry animals. Their teeth are like spears and arrows. Their tongues are like sharp swords.

My soul is in the midst of lions; I lie down amid fiery beasts— the children of man, whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.

I am surrounded by fierce lions who greedily devour human prey— whose teeth pierce like spears and arrows, and whose tongues cut like swords.

I am surrounded by lions; I lie down among devouring lions— people whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.

My soul is among lions; I must lie among those who devour, Among sons of mankind whose teeth are spears and arrows, And their tongue is a sharp sword.

There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, And whose fangs are like knives, To devour the poor from off the earth, And the needy from among men.

The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, But war was in his heart; His words were softer than oil, Yet they were drawn swords.

Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue me from their destructions, My precious life from the lions.

There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, But the tongue of the wise promotes health.

Who sharpen their tongue like a sword, And bend their bows to shoot their arrows— bitter words,

Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

But if not, let fire come from Abimelech and devour the men of Shechem and Beth Millo; and let fire come from the men of Shechem and from Beth Millo and devour Abimelech!”

As a lion is eager to tear his prey, And like a young lion lurking in secret places.Arise, O Lord, Confront him, cast him down; Deliver my life from the wicked with Your sword,

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

A man who bears false witness against his neighbor Is like a club, a sword, and a sharp arrow.

They gape at Me with their mouths, Like a raging and roaring lion.I am poured out like water, And all My bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It has melted within Me.My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And My tongue clings to My jaws; You have brought Me to the dust of death.For dogs have surrounded Me; The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions— them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den.

Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Like a roaring lion and a charging bear Is a wicked ruler over poor people.

He lies in wait secretly, as a lion in his den; He lies in wait to catch the poor; He catches the poor when he draws him into his net.

Indeed, they belch with their mouth; Swords are in their lips; For they say,“ Who hears?”
