but the Lord was gracious to them, had compassion on them, and turned toward them because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He was not willing to destroy them. Even now He has not banished them from His presence.

But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit. So He became their enemy and fought against them.Then He remembered the days of the past, the days of Moses and his people. Where is He who brought them out of the sea with the shepherds of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit among the flock?

These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the Lord’s presence and from His glorious strength

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

I will drive you from My presence, just as I drove out all of your brothers, all the descendants of Ephraim.

Only the tribe of Judah remained.Even Judah did not keep the commands of the Lord their God but lived according to the customs Israel had introduced.So the Lord rejected all the descendants of Israel, afflicted them, and handed them over to plunderers until He had banished them from His presence.When the Lord tore Israel from the house of David, Israel made Jeroboam son of Nebat king. Then Jeroboam led Israel away from following the Lord and caused them to commit great sin.The Israelites persisted in all the sins that Jeroboam committed and did not turn away from them.Finally, the Lord removed Israel from His presence just as He had declared through all His servants the prophets. So Israel has been exiled to Assyria from their homeland until today.

Since You are banishing me today from the soil, and I must hide myself from Your presence and become a restless wanderer on the earth, whoever finds me will kill me.”

But My faithful love will never leave him as I removed it from Saul; I removed him from your way.
