If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

If I were hungry, I wouldn’t tell you. The world belongs to me. And so does everything in it.

May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth.The heavens belong to the Lord, but he has given the earth to all humanity.

Who has given me anything that I need to pay back? Everything under heaven is mine.

“ Look, the highest heavens and the earth and everything in it all belong to the Lord your God.

Then God blessed them and said,“ Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”Then God said,“ Look! I have given you every seed bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food.And I have given every green plant as food for all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, and the small animals that scurry along the ground— everything that has life.” And that is what happened.

The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it.When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing.

For“ the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”If someone who isn’t a believer asks you home for dinner, accept the invitation if you want to. Eat whatever is offered to you without raising questions of conscience.( But suppose someone tells you,“ This meat was offered to an idol.” Don’t eat it, out of consideration for the conscience of the one who told you.

Release all the animals— the birds, the livestock, and the small animals that scurry along the ground— so they can be fruitful and multiply throughout the earth.”

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths.

Then God said,“ Let the land sprout with vegetation— every sort of seed bearing plant, and trees that grow seed bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.” And that is what happened.The land produced vegetation— all sorts of seed bearing plants, and trees with seed bearing fruit. Their seeds produced plants and trees of the same kind. And God saw that it was good.

O Lord, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your creatures.
