Mount Zion rejoices, the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments.

Mount Zion is filled with joy. The villages of Judah are glad. That’s because you judge fairly.

Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of your judgments!

Jerusalem has heard and rejoiced, and all the towns of Judah are glad because of your justice, O Lord!

Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the gazelles and wild deer, not to awaken love until the time is right.

Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey— riding on a donkey’s colt.

Rejoice over her fate, O heaven and people of God and apostles and prophets! For at last God has judged her for your sakes.

the Lord has spoken this word against him:“ The virgin daughter of Zion despises you and laughs at you. The daughter of Jerusalem shakes her head in derision as you flee.

O Babylon, you will be destroyed. Happy is the one who pays you back for what you have done to us.Happy is the one who takes your babies and smashes them against the rocks!

And I heard the angel who had authority over all water saying,“ You are just, O Holy One, who is and who always was, because you have sent these judgments.Since they shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets, you have given them blood to drink. It is their just reward.”And I heard a voice from the altar, saying,“ Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, your judgments are true and just.”

His mouth is sweetness itself; he is desirable in every way. Such, O women of Jerusalem, is my lover, my friend.

I am dark but beautiful, O women of Jerusalem— dark as the tents of Kedar, dark as the curtains of Solomon’s tents.

Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the gazelles and wild deer, not to awaken love until the time is right.

But Jesus turned and said to them,“ Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

The godly will rejoice when they see injustice avenged. They will wash their feet in the blood of the wicked.

“ Lord, may all your enemies die like Sisera! But may those who love you rise like the sun in all its power!” Then there was peace in the land for forty years.

Who will not fear you, Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous deeds have been revealed.”

On the fourth day they gathered in the Valley of Blessing, which got its name that day because the people praised and thanked the Lord there. It is still called the Valley of Blessing today.Then all the men returned to Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat leading them, overjoyed that the Lord had given them victory over their enemies.

After this, I heard what sounded like a vast crowd in heaven shouting,“ Praise the Lord! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.His judgments are true and just. He has punished the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality. He has avenged the murder of his servants.”And again their voices rang out:“ Praise the Lord! The smoke from that city ascends forever and ever!”
