所以地雖起了改變，我們也不怕；山雖搖動到海心，我們也不驚；

因此我們不害怕——即使大地變動，群山動搖陷入海中；

故雖大地變遷、山嶽震動、移於海心、

平陸震動、海島遷移、波濤洶湧、山嶽搖撼、我弗迷兮、

所以地雖震陷、山雖崩倒海中、我儕亦無恐懼、

主為吾人所依恃。大難臨頭可托庇。

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change, And though the mountains be shaken into the heart of the seas;

Therefore we will not be afraid, though the earth trembles and the mountains topple into the depths of the seas,

For this reason we do not fear when the earth shakes, and the mountains tumble into the depths of the sea,

So we say with confidence,“ The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (niv)

When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.”Then he said to them:“ Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. You ought to live holy and godly livesas you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.
