would not God discover it, for he knows one’s thoughts?

神岂不鉴察这事吗？因为他晓得人心里的隐秘。

上帝岂不鉴察这事吗？因为他晓得人心里的隐秘。

上帝怎会不知道呢？祂洞悉人心中的秘密。

神不会查究这事吗？因为他知道人心的隐秘。

难道神不会洞察这事吗？要知道，他明白人心里的隐秘。

神豈不鑒察這事嗎？因為他曉得人心裏的隱秘。

上帝豈不鑒察這事嗎？因為他曉得人心裏的隱祕。

神豈不鑒察這事嗎？因為他曉得人心裏的隱祕。

上帝怎會不知道呢？祂洞悉人心中的秘密。

神不會查究這事嗎？因為他知道人心的隱祕。

上帝哪不察透這事呢？因為他總知道人心之隱祕啊。

難道神不會洞察這事嗎？要知道，他明白人心裡的隱祕。

上帝知人心之隱微、豈不鑒察乎、

上帝鑒察人心、豈不灼知乎此兮、

願天主究察、蓋人心之隱微、天主皆知、

我苟忘眞神。而為異神役。

I, the LORD, probe into people’s minds. I examine people’s hearts. I deal with each person according to how he has behaved. I give them what they deserve based on what they have done.

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double- edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.And no creature is hidden from God, but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account.

For God will evaluate every deed, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.

O LORD, you examine me and know.You know when I sit down and when I get up; even from far away you understand my motives.You carefully observe me when I travel or when I lie down to rest; you are aware of everything I do.Certainly my tongue does not frame a word without you, O LORD, being thoroughly aware of it.You squeeze me in from behind and in front; you place your hand on me.Your knowledge is beyond my comprehension; it is so far beyond me, I am unable to fathom it.Where can I go to escape your spirit? Where can I flee to escape your presence?If I were to ascend to heaven, you would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there you would be.If I were to fly away on the wings of the dawn, and settle down on the other side of the sea,even there your hand would guide me, your right hand would grab hold of me.If I were to say,“ Certainly the darkness will cover me, and the light will turn to night all around me,”even the darkness is not too dark for you to see, and the night is as bright as day; darkness and light are the same to you.Certainly you made my mind and heart; you wove me together in my mother’s womb.I will give you thanks because your deeds are awesome and amazing. You knew me thoroughly;my bones were not hidden from you, when I was made in secret and sewed together in the depths of the earth.Your eyes saw me when I was inside the womb. All the days ordained for me were recorded in your scroll before one of them came into existence.How difficult it is for me to fathom your thoughts about me, O God! How vast is their sum total!If I tried to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. Even if I finished counting them, I would still have to contend with you.If only you would kill the wicked, O God! Get away from me, you violent men!They rebel against you and act deceitfully; your enemies lie.O LORD, do I not hate those who hate you, and despise those who oppose you?I absolutely hate them, they have become my enemies!Examine me, and probe my thoughts! Test me, and know my concerns!See if there is any idolatrous tendency in me, and lead me in the reliable ancient path!

“ Do you really think anyone can hide himself where I cannot see him?” the LORD asks.“ Do you not know that I am everywhere?” the LORD asks.

Does he not see my ways and count all my steps?

So then, do not judge anything before the time. Wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the motives of hearts. Then each will receive recognition from God.

on the day when God will judge the secrets of human hearts, according to my gospel through Christ Jesus.

“ El, God, the LORD! El, God, the LORD! He knows the truth! Israel must also know! If we have rebelled or disobeyed the LORD, don’t spare us today!If we have built an altar for ourselves to turn back from following the LORD by making burnt sacrifices and grain offerings on it, or by offering tokens of peace on it, the LORD himself will punish us.

For his eyes are on the ways of an individual, he observes all a person’s steps.There is no darkness, and no deep darkness, where evildoers can hide themselves.

then what will I do when God confronts me in judgment; when he intervenes, how will I respond to him?

Furthermore, I will strike her followers with a deadly disease, and then all the churches will know that I am the one who searches minds and hearts. I will repay each one of you what your deeds deserve.
