彼謂惡疾附於其身、既已偃臥、永不復起兮、

見我卧床、謂受惡報、不復振兮、

云惡疾臨於其身、其偃臥必不復起、

幸災樂禍。竊竊私議。

“ A vile disease has afflicted him; he will never get up from the place where he lies.”

They say,“ He is sick and will die very soon. He will never get up from his bed again.”

“ He has some fatal disease,” they say.“ He will never get out of that bed!”

“ An evil disease,” they say,“ clings to him. And now that he lies down, he will rise up no more.”

An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him; And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

“ Lethal poison has been poured into him, and he won’t rise again from where he lies!”

My whole body is sick because of your judgment; I am deprived of health because of my sin.For my sins overwhelm me; like a heavy load, they are too much for me to bear.My wounds are infected and starting to smell, because of my foolish sins.I am dazed and completely humiliated; all day long I walk around mourning.For I am overcome with shame and my whole body is sick.

So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD, and he afflicted Job with a malignant ulcer from the sole of his feet to the top of his head.Job took a shard of broken pottery to scrape himself with while he was sitting among the ashes.

and said,“ Sir, we remember that while that deceiver was still alive he said,‘ After three days I will rise again.’So give orders to secure the tomb until the third day. Otherwise his disciples may come and steal his body and say to the people,‘ He has been raised from the dead,’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.”
