An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him; And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

他們說：有怪病貼在他身上；他已躺臥，必不能再起來。

他們說：「他有怪病纏身，他已躺下，必不能再起來。」

他們說：「他患了惡病，再也起不來了！」

“有惡疾臨到他身上；他既然躺下了，就必一病不起。”

他們說：『有惡疾湧進他身上；他既已躺下，必不能再起。

「惡疾已臨到他身上，他躺下就再也不會起來！」

彼謂惡疾附於其身、既已偃臥、永不復起兮、

見我卧床、謂受惡報、不復振兮、

云惡疾臨於其身、其偃臥必不復起、

幸災樂禍。竊竊私議。

“ A vile disease has afflicted him; he will never get up from the place where he lies.”

They say,“ He is sick and will die very soon. He will never get up from his bed again.”

They say,“ A deadly thing is poured out on him; he will not rise again from where he lies.”

“ He has some fatal disease,” they say.“ He will never get out of that bed!”

“ Something awful has overwhelmed him, and he won’t rise again from where he lies!”

“ A wicked thing is poured out upon him, So that when he lies down, he will not get up again.”

“ An evil disease,” they say,“ clings to him. And now that he lies down, he will rise up no more.”

“ Lethal poison has been poured into him, and he won’t rise again from where he lies!”

An evil disease,[ say they], cleaveth fast unto him: and[ now] that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

They say,‘ An awful disease overwhelms him, and now that he is bed-ridden he will never recover.’

“ An evil disease”, they say,“ has afflicted him. Now that he lies he shall rise up no more.”

Saying, God hath forsaken him: Pursue and take him; for there is none to deliver.

There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine indignation; Neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.For mine iniquities are gone over my head: As a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.My wounds are loathsome and corrupt, Because of my foolishness.I am pained and bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.For my loins are filled with burning; And there is no soundness in my flesh.

In like manner also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,He saved others; himself he cannot save. He is the King of Israel; let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe on him.He trusteth on God; let him deliver him now, if he desireth him: for he said, I am the Son of God.And the robbers also that were crucified with him cast upon him the same reproach.Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo, these eighteen years, to have been loosed from this bond on the day of the sabbath?

So Satan went forth from the presence of Jehovah, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself therewith; and he sat among the ashes.

saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said while he was yet alive, After three days I rise again.Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest haply his disciples come and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: and the last error will be worse than the first.

Many there are that say of my soul, There is no help for him in God.[ Selah
