For I said,“ May they not rejoice over me, Who, when my foot slips, would exalt themselves over me.”

我曾求告你，別讓他們幸災樂禍，在我失腳時沾沾自喜。

因為我心裏說：『恐怕敵人因我的失敗而沾沾自喜；恐怕我腳顛躓時他們會向我妄自尊大。』

因為我曾說：「不要讓他們對我幸災樂禍；我的腳動搖時，不要讓他們在我面前高抬自己。」

我曰、恐彼為我而誇、我失足時、彼乃夸大兮、

我曾云恐我仇敵、因我遭難欣喜、因我失足、向我妄自誇大、

除主復何怙。有感寧無願。

For I said,“ Do not let them gloat or exalt themselves over me when my feet slip.”

I said,“ Don’t let my enemies have the joy of seeing me fall. Don’t let them brag when my feet slip.”

For I said,“ Only let them not rejoice over me, who boast against me when my foot slips!”

I prayed,“ Don’t let my enemies gloat over me or rejoice at my downfall.”

For I said,“ Don’t let them rejoice over me— those who are arrogant toward me when I stumble.”

For I said,“ Hear me, lest they rejoice over me, Lest, when my foot slips, they exalt themselves against me.”

For I said, Lest they rejoice over me: When my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.

For I said,“ Don’t let them rejoice over me— those who are arrogant toward me when I stumble.”

For I said,[ Hear me], lest[ otherwise] they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify[ themselves] against me.

I have prayed for deliverance, because otherwise they will gloat over me; when my foot slips they will arrogantly taunt me.

For I said,“ Don’t let them gloat over me, or exalt themselves over me when my foot slips.”

If I should say,“ My foot has slipped,” Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me.

Judge me, Lord my God, according to Your righteousness, And do not let them rejoice over me.Do not let them say in their heart,“ Aha, our desire!” Do not let them say,“ We have swallowed him up!”May those be ashamed and altogether humiliated who rejoice at my distress; May those who exalt themselves over me be clothed with shame and dishonor.

Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; Enlighten my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death,And my enemy will say,“ I have overcome him,” And my adversaries will rejoice when I am shaken.

Vengeance is Mine, and retribution; In due time their foot will slip. For the day of their disaster is near, And the impending things are hurrying to them.’
