though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.

Even if that person trips, he won’t fall. The Lord’ s hand takes good care of him.

The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.

No one can snatch them away from me,for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.The Father and I are one.”

“ Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat.But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”

I cried out,“ I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.

As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.

The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.For the Lord protects the bones of the righteous; not one of them is broken!

He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.

For the strength of the wicked will be shattered, but the Lord takes care of the godly.

They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.

Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, the baby’s mother,“ This child is destined to cause many in Israel to fall, and many others to rise. He has been sent as a sign from God, but many will oppose him.

The Lord supports the humble, but he brings the wicked down into the dust.

But Peter said,“ Man, I don’t know what you are talking about.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind:“ Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.”And Peter left the courtyard, weeping bitterly.
