Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me in the shadow of Your wingsFrom the wicked who deal violently with me, My deadly enemies who surround me.They have closed their unfeeling hearts, With their mouths they speak proudly.They have now surrounded us in our steps; They set their eyes to cast us down to the ground.He is like a lion that is eager to tear, And as a young lion lurking in secret places.Arise, Lord, confront him, make him bow down; Save my soul from the wicked with Your sword,From people by Your hand, Lord, From people of the world, whose portion is in this life, And whose belly You fill with Your treasure; They are satisfied with children, And leave their abundance to their babies.

The arrogant have dug pits for me, People who are not in accord with Your Law.

I will put it into the hand of your tormentors, Who have said to you,‘ Lie down so that we may walk over you.’ You have also made your back like the ground, And like the street for those who walk over it.”

Let out your outbursts of anger, And look at everyone who is arrogant, and humble him.Look at everyone who is arrogant, and humble him, And trample down the wicked where they stand.

He alone is my rock and my salvation, My refuge; I will not be shaken.

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just; and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.”

The arrogant utterly deride me, Yet I do not turn aside from Your Law.

Be a guarantor for Your servant for good; Do not let the arrogant oppress me.

I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or trouble, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?Just as it is written:“ For Your sake we are killed all day long; We were regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For the king trusts in the Lord, And through the faithfulness of the Most High he will not be shaken.Your hand will find all your enemies; Your right hand will find those who hate you.

In arrogance the wicked hotly pursue the needy; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.

Those who trust in the Lord Are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but remains forever.As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord surrounds His people From this time and forever.For the scepter of wickedness will not rest upon the land of the righteous, So that the righteous will not extend their hands to do wrong.

The arrogant have forged a lie against me; With all my heart I will comply with Your precepts.
