May the foot of the proud not come against me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.

Don’t let the feet of those who are proud step on me. Don’t let the hands of those who are evil drive me away.

Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.

Don’t let the proud trample me or the wicked push me around.

Do not let the foot of the arrogant come near me or the hand of the wicked drive me away.

May the foot of pride not come upon me, And may the hand of the wicked not drive me away.

Have mercy upon us, O Jehovah, have mercy upon us; For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.Our soul is exceedingly filled With the scoffing of those that are at ease, And with the contempt of the proud.

Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaketh great things;Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; Our lips are our own: who is lord over us?Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy, Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; I will set him in the safety he panteth for.

Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me under the shadow of thy wings,From the wicked that oppress me, My deadly enemies, that compass me about.They are inclosed in their own fat: With their mouth they speak proudly.They have now compassed us in our steps; They set their eyes to cast us down to the earth.He is like a lion that is greedy of his prey, And as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.Arise, O Jehovah, Confront him, cast him down: Deliver my soul from the wicked by thy sword;From men by thy hand, O Jehovah, From men of the world, whose portion is in this life, And whose belly thou fillest with thy treasure: They are satisfied with children, And leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

The proud have digged pits for me, Who are not according to thy law.

and I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee, that have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over; and thou hast laid thy back as the ground, and as the street, to them that go over.

Pour forth the overflowings of thine anger; And look upon every one that is proud, and abase him.Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; And tread down the wicked where they stand.

He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my high tower; I shall not be moved.

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are truth, and his ways justice; and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

The proud have had me greatly in derision: Yet have I not swerved from thy law.

Be surety for thy servant for good: Let not the proud oppress me.

I have set Jehovah always before me: Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?Even as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For the king trusteth in Jehovah; And through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.Thy hand will find out all thine enemies; Thy right hand will find out those that hate thee.

In the pride of the wicked the poor is hotly pursued; Let them be taken in the devices that they have conceived.

They that trust in Jehovah Are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever.As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, So Jehovah is round about his people From this time forth and for evermore.For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; That the righteous put not forth their hands unto iniquity.

The proud have forged a lie against me: With my whole heart will I keep thy precepts.
