一朝我罹難。欣然相慶祝。落井更投石。心中懷叵測。

But when I stumbled, they gathered in glee; assailants gathered against me without my knowledge. They slandered me without ceasing.

免得他們像獅子一般把我撕裂，把我撕碎的時候，也沒有人搭救。

於是有些人就向他吐唾沫，蒙住他的臉。用拳頭打他，對他說：“你說預言吧！”差役把他拉去，用手掌打他。

他的怒氣撕裂我，攻擊我；他向我咬牙切齒，我的敵人以銳利的眼光看著我。

我隨時會跌倒，我的痛苦常在我面前。

“有惡疾臨到他身上；他既然躺下了，就必一病不起。”

坐在城門口的人對我議論紛紛，我成了酒徒之歌。

犬類圍著我，惡黨環繞我，他們扎了（按照《馬索拉文本》，“他們扎了”作“像獅子”；現參照《七十士譯本》等古譯本翻譯）我的手我的腳。

總督的士兵把耶穌帶到總督府，召集全隊士兵到他面前。他們脫去他的衣服，給他披上朱紅色的外袍，又用荊棘編成冠冕，戴在他的頭上，把一根蘆葦放在他的右手，跪在他面前譏笑他說：“猶太人的王萬歲！”然後向他吐唾沫，又拿起蘆葦打他的頭。

不要讓他們心裡說：“啊哈！這正是我們的心願！”不要讓他們說：“我們把他吞下去了！”願那些喜歡我遭難的，一同蒙羞抱愧；願那些對我妄自尊大的，都披上慚愧和恥辱。

我躺臥在獅子中間，就是在那些想吞滅人的世人中間；他們的牙齒是槍和箭，他們的舌頭是快刀。

你的仇敵跌倒的時候，你不要歡喜；他絆倒的時候，你心裡不可歡樂。恐怕耶和華看見了，就不喜悅，把他的怒氣從仇敵的身上，轉到你的身上。

願毀滅在不知不覺間臨到他身上，願他暗設的網羅纏住自己，願他落在其中遭毀滅。

“但現在年紀比我小的人都笑我；我不容許他們的父親與我羊群的犬隻為伴。他們的氣力已經衰退了，他們兩手的力量對我有甚麼益處呢？他們因窮乏與飢餓而消瘦，在黑夜荒廢與荒涼之地咀嚼曠野的乾草；他們在草叢中採摘鹹草，以羅騰樹根作食物。他們從人群中被趕出去，人追喊他們如追喊賊一樣，以致他們住在驚嚇谷之中，在地洞和巖穴之間；他們在草叢中間喊叫，在雜草之下集合起來。他們都是愚頑人、下流人的子孫，被人鞭打逐出境外。現在他們以我為歌曲，我竟成了他們的笑柄。他們厭惡我，遠遠地離開我，又不住吐唾沫在我臉上，因為神把我的弓弦鬆開，叫我受苦，他們就在我面前任意妄為（“任意妄為”直譯是“解開轡頭”）。一窩暴民在我右邊興起，推開我的腳，築起災難的路攻擊我。

不喜歡不義，只喜歡真理。

但猶太人嫉妒起來，招聚了一些市井流氓，糾合成群，騷動全城，衝進了耶孫的家，搜索保羅和西拉，要把他們交給民眾。

過路的人嘲笑他，搖著頭說：“你這個想拆毀聖所，三日之內又把它建造起來的，救救自己吧！如果你是神的兒子，從十字架上下來吧！”祭司長、經學家和長老也同樣譏笑他，說：“他救了別人，卻不能救自己。如果他是以色列的王，現在可以從十字架上下來，我們就信他。他信靠神；如果神喜悅他，就讓神現在救他吧，因為他說自己是神的兒子。”和他一同釘十字架的強盜也都這樣侮辱他。

我若因恨我的人遭災禍而歡喜，或因他遇患難而高興；

嘲笑窮人的就是辱罵造他的主；幸災樂禍的必難免受懲罰。

因為我的仇敵議論我；那些窺探著要害我性命的，一同商議，說：“神已經離棄了他，你們追趕他，拿住他吧！因為沒有人搭救他。”

我聽見許多人耳語：“瑪歌珥．米撒畢！告發他，我們要告發他！”我所有的知己朋友都等著看我行差踏錯，他們說：“希望他會上當，我們就可以勝過他，向他報復。”
