I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.

I will be glad and full of joy because you love me. You saw that I was hurting. You took note of my great pain.

I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul,

I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul.

But you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us or Israel acknowledge us; you, Lord, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is your name. (niv)

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. (niv)

Look on my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins. (niv)

the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the Lord, saying,“ Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for the Lord is good; his love endures forever.” For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,’ says the Lord. Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and,“ Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.” (niv)

“ Now therefore, our God, the great God, mighty and awesome, who keeps his covenant of love, do not let all this hardship seem trifling in your eyes— the hardship that has come on us, on our kings and leaders, on our priests and prophets, on our ancestors and all your people, from the days of the kings of Assyria until today. Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. (niv)
