Many are saying of me,“ God will not deliver him.”

Many are saying about me,“ God will not save him.”

many are saying of my soul,“ There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah

So many are saying,“ God will never rescue him!” Selah. The meaning of this word is uncertain, though it is probably a musical or literary term. It is rendered Interlude throughout the Psalms.

Everyone who sees me mocks me; they sneer and shake their heads:

My tears have been my food day and night, while all day long people say to me,“ Where is your God?”

My adversaries taunt me, as if crushing my bones, while all day long they say to me,“ Where is your God?”

Be angry and do not sin; reflect in your heart while on your bed and be silent. Selah

You took the sheath from your bow; the arrows are ready to be used with an oath. Selah You split the earth with rivers.

I cry aloud to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. Selah

God comes from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His splendor covers the heavens, and the earth is full of his praise.

Shimei said as he cursed,“ Get out, get out, you man of bloodshed, you wicked man!The LORD has paid you back for all the blood of the house of Saul in whose place you became king, and the LORD has handed the kingdom over to your son Absalom. “ He saved others, but he cannot save himself! He is the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.He trusts in God; let God rescue him now— if he takes pleasure in him! For he said,‘ I am the Son of God.’”

How long, exalted ones, will my honor be insulted? How long will you love what is worthless and pursue a lie? Selah

Salvation belongs to the LORD; may your blessing be on your people. Selah

You come out to save your people, to save your anointed. You crush the leader of the house of the wicked and strip him from foot to neck. Selah
