for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.

He set it firmly on the oceans. He made it secure on the waters.

for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.

For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths.

[ Who] laid the foundations of the earth,[ that] it should not be removed for ever.Thou coveredst it with the deep as[ with] a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand[ for] the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry[ land] appear: and it was so.And God called the dry[ land] Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that[ it was] good.

Say among the heathen[ that] the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth,[ even] they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.When he uttereth his voice,[ there is] a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.Every man is brutish in[ his] knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image[ is] falsehood, and[ there is] no breath in them.They[ are] vanity,[ and] the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.The portion of Jacob[ is] not like them: for he[ is] the former of all[ things]; and Israel[ is] the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts[ is] his name.

In his hand[ are] the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills[ is] his also.

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength,[ wherewith] he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Or[ who] shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth,[ as if] it had issued out of the womb?When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,And brake up for it my decreed[ place], and set bars and doors,And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
