因窮苦人受難之時、主未嘗藐視、未嘗厭棄、未嘗向其掩面、其呼籲時、主曾俯聽、

願凡虔敬之人兮。播揚仁風。願雅谷之苗裔兮。聖道是弘。願義塞之子孫兮。惟主是崇。

For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.

He has not forgotten the one who is hurting. He has not turned away from his suffering. He has not turned his face away from him. He has listened to his cry for help.

基督在世為人的時候，曾經聲淚俱下地祈求能救祂脫離死亡的上帝。祂因為敬虔而蒙了應允。

人打我的背，我任他打；人拔我的鬍子，我任他拔；人侮辱我，朝我吐唾沬，我也不掩面。我並不覺得羞愧，因為主耶和華幫助我。我心如堅石，知道自己必不會蒙羞。為我伸張正義的來了，誰要控告我呢？讓我們來理論吧！誰是我的控告者呢？讓他到我這裡來吧！看啊，有主耶和華幫助我，誰能定我有罪呢？看啊，他們都要像衣服一樣漸漸破舊，被蛀蟲吃掉。

我在苦難中求告耶和華，祂就答應我，救我脫離困境。

死亡的繩索纏繞我，陰間的恐怖籠罩我，我被困苦和憂愁淹沒。於是，我求告耶和華，說：「耶和華啊，求你拯救我。」耶和華仁慈、公義，我們的上帝充滿憐憫。耶和華保護心地單純的人，危難之時祂救了我。

我的上帝啊，我日夜不停地呼求，你卻沒有回應。

上帝啊，我陷入痛苦和憂傷，求你拯救我，保護我。我要用歌聲讚美上帝的名，以感恩的心尊崇祂。這要比獻上有蹄有角的公牛等祭牲更討耶和華喜悅。卑微的人看見這一切就歡喜快樂，願你們尋求上帝的人精神振奮。耶和華垂聽窮苦人的祈求，不輕看祂被囚的子民。願天地都讚美祂，願海和其中的一切都讚美祂！

但我好像不是人，只是一條蟲，受盡人的羞辱和藐視。

我這可憐的人向祂呼求，祂就垂聽，救我脫離一切困境。

耶穌大聲喊著說：「父啊，我將我的靈魂交在你手中。」說完，就斷氣了。

我從心底發出讚歎：耶和華啊，誰能像你？你拯救弱者免受欺壓，拯救窮人免遭掠奪。

求你不要掩面不理你的僕人。我正身陷困境，求你快快答應我。
