My God, I cry out by day, but You do not answer; And by night, but I have no rest.

我天主歟、我白晝呼籲、主不垂聽、我夜間呼籲、不得寂靜、寂靜或作安寧

主兮主兮。胡為棄我如遺。發呻吟於危急兮。何惠音之遲遲。

My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, but I find no rest.

now, will God not bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night, and will He delay long for them?

My tears have been my food day and night, While they say to me all day long,“ Where is your God?”

Lord, the God of my salvation, I have cried out by day and in the night before You.

I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience the way my forefathers did, as I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day,

You have veiled Yourself with a cloud So that no prayer can pass through.

And He left them again, and went away and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more.

Now it was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer with God.

As for me, I shall call upon God, And the Lord will save me.Evening and morning and at noon, I will complain and moan, And He will hear my voice.

Lord God of armies, How long will You be angry with the prayer of Your people?

And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray,saying,“ Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.”[ Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.And being in agony, He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground].When He rose from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from sorrow,and He said to them,“ Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you do not come into temptation.”

as we keep praying most earnestly night and day that we may see your faces, and may complete what is lacking in your faith?

Even when I cry out and call for help, He shuts out my prayer.
