萬軍之耶和華說：「那日臨近，勢如燒着的火爐，凡狂傲的和行惡的必如碎稭，在那日必被燒盡，根本枝條一無存留。

從他鼻孔冒煙上騰；從他口中發火焚燒，連炭也着了。

我們的神要來，決不閉口。有烈火在他面前吞滅；有暴風在他四圍大颳。

主吞滅雅各一切的住處，並不顧惜。他發怒傾覆猶大民的保障，使這保障坍倒在地；他辱沒這國和其中的首領。

耶和華啊，你的手高舉，他們仍然不看；卻要看你為百姓發的熱心，因而抱愧，並且有火燒滅你的敵人。

要報應那不認識神和那不聽從我主耶穌福音的人。

當以嘴親子，恐怕他發怒，你們便在道中滅亡，因為他的怒氣快要發作。凡投靠他的，都是有福的。

因為在我怒中有火燒起，直燒到極深的陰間，把地和地的出產盡都焚燒，山的根基也燒着了。

他發忿恨，誰能立得住呢？他發烈怒，誰能當得起呢？他的忿怒如火傾倒；磐石因他崩裂。

向所多瑪和蛾摩拉與平原的全地觀看，不料，那地方煙氣上騰，如同燒窰一般。

向山和巖石說：「倒在我們身上吧！把我們藏起來，躲避坐寶座者的面目和羔羊的忿怒；因為他們忿怒的大日到了，誰能站得住呢？」

他手裏拿着簸箕，要揚淨他的場，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡了。」

現今都比海沙更重，所以我的言語急躁。

神啊，求你憐憫我，因為人要把我吞了，終日攻擊欺壓我。我的仇敵終日要把我吞了，因逞驕傲攻擊我的人甚多。

地裂開，吞下大坍，掩蓋亞比蘭一黨的人。

不許我們傳道給外邦人使外邦人得救，常常充滿自己的罪惡。神的忿怒臨在他們身上已經到了極處。

死亡和陰間也被扔在火湖裏；這火湖就是第二次的死。

王就大怒，發兵除滅那些兇手，燒毀他們的城。

丟在火爐裏；在那裏必要哀哭切齒了。

這些人要往永刑裏去；那些義人要往永生裏去。」

又吩咐他軍中的幾個壯士，將沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌捆起來，扔在烈火的窰中。這三人穿着褲子、內袍、外衣，和別的衣服，被捆起來扔在烈火的窰中。因為王命緊急，窰又甚熱，那擡沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的人都被火焰燒死。

現在斧子已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裏。

王又要向那左邊的說：『你們這被咒詛的人，離開我！進入那為魔鬼和他的使者所預備的永火裏去！
