Though they intend to harm you and devise a wicked plan, they will not prevail.

斬草在除根。一掃謬種空。

Though they plot evil against you and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed.

Your enemies make evil plans against you. They think up evil things to do. But they can’t succeed.

Though they plan evil against you, though they devise mischief, they will not succeed.

Although they plot against you, their evil schemes will never succeed.

Though they intended evil against You And devised a plot, They will not succeed.

For they intended evil against You; They devised a plot which they are not able to perform.

For they intended evil against thee; They conceived a device which they are not able to perform.

Though they intend to harm you and devise a wicked plan, they will not prevail.

Yes, they intend to do you harm; they dream up a scheme, but they do not succeed.

For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed.

In arrogance the wicked relentlessly pursue their victims; let them be caught in the schemes they have devised.

Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?

Then Herod, when he realized that he had been outwitted by the wise men, flew into a rage. He gave orders to massacre all the boys in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, in keeping with the time he had learned from the wise men.

He sent them to Bethlehem and said,“ Go and search carefully for the child. When you find him, report back to me so that I too can go and worship him.”

The LORD informed me, so I knew. Then you helped me to see their deeds,for I was like a docile lamb led to slaughter. I didn’t know that they had devised plots against me:“ Let’s destroy the tree with its fruit; let’s cut him off from the land of the living so that his name will no longer be remembered.”

They say,“ Come, let’s wipe them out as a nation so that Israel’s name will no longer be remembered.”

There was a violent earthquake, because an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and approached the tomb. He rolled back the stone and was sitting on it.His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow.The guards were so shaken by fear of him that they became like dead men.The angel told the women,“ Don’t be afraid, because I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified.He is not here. For he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

But so that this does not spread any further among the people, let’s threaten them against speaking to anyone in this name again.”So they called for them and ordered them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.

I have heard the gossip of many; terror is on every side. When they conspired against me, they plotted to take my life.

and said,“ Sir, we remember that while this deceiver was still alive he said,‘ After three days I will rise again.’So give orders that the tomb be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come, steal him, and tell the people,‘ He has been raised from the dead,’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.”

For they do not speak in friendly ways, but contrive fraudulent schemes against those who live peacefully in the land.

‘ Let’s go up against Judah, terrorize it, and conquer it for ourselves. Then we can install Tabeel’s son as king in it.’”This is what the Lord GOD says: It will not happen; it will not occur.

Band together, peoples, and be broken; pay attention, all you distant lands; prepare for war, and be broken; prepare for war, and be broken.Devise a plan; it will fail. Make a prediction; it will not happen. For God is with us.

and they conspired to arrest Jesus in a treacherous way and kill him.“ Not during the festival,” they said,“ so there won’t be rioting among the people.”

Although they were looking for a way to arrest him, they feared the crowds, because the people regarded him as a prophet.

The LORD said to me,“ Son of man, these are the men who plot evil and give wicked advice in this city.

After they brought them in, they had them stand before the Sanhedrin, and the high priest asked,“ Didn’t we strictly order you not to teach in this name? Look, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.”
