He keeps every promise forever.He gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry. The Lord frees the prisoners.The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly.The Lord protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked.

“ But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

“ Lord, may all your enemies die like Sisera! But may those who love you rise like the sun in all its power!” Then there was peace in the land for forty years.
