He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.He croucheth,[ and] humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.
He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;Frowardness[ is] in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats.And he came to the sheepcotes by the way, where[ was] a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave.
Then Saul arose, and went down to the wilderness of Ziph, having three thousand chosen men of Israel with him, to seek David in the wilderness of Ziph.And Saul pitched in the hill of Hachilah, which[ is] before Jeshimon, by the way. But David abode in the wilderness, and he saw that Saul came after him into the wilderness.
And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain: and David made haste to get away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men compassed David and his men round about to take them.
