若上升於高天、爾在於彼、若下榻於陰府、爾在於斯兮、

如上升於穹蒼、爾居於彼、如長眠於地下、爾亦在彼兮、

我若上升於天、主乃在彼、我若下榻於示阿勒、示阿勒見六篇五節小註主亦在彼、

曰躍於天。主在雲表。曰潛於淵。主伏於沼。

If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

If I go up to the heavens, you are there. If I lie down in the deepest parts of the earth, you are also there.

If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!

If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there.

If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.

If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there.

If I were to ascend to heaven, you would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there you would be.

“ Though they dig into hell, From there my hand shall take them; Though they climb up to heaven, From there I will bring them down;And though they hide themselves on top of Carmel, From there I will search and take them; Though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea, From there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them;Though they go into captivity before their enemies, From there I will command the sword, And it shall slay them. I will set My eyes on them for harm and not for good.”

And he said:“ I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction, And He answered me.“ Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, And You heard my voice.

“ For His eyes are on the ways of man, And He sees all his steps.There is no darkness nor shadow of death Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

Hell and Destruction are before the Lord; So how much more the hearts of the sons of men.

Sheol is naked before Him, And Destruction has no covering.

“ Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him,‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created.“ You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.“ By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones.“ Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you.

Though you ascend as high as the eagle, And though you set your nest among the stars, From there I will bring you down,” says the Lord.
