心聲未發。主已先知。

Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.

Lord, even before I speak a word, you know all about it.

Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.

You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord.

Before a word is on my tongue, you know all about it, LORD.

For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.

For there is not a word in my tongue, But, lo, O Jehovah, thou knowest it altogether.

Certainly my tongue does not frame a word without you, O LORD, being thoroughly aware of it.

For there is not a word on my tongue, but, behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether.

For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two edged sword, even penetrating as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom we must answer.

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.

You let your mouth loose in evil, And your tongue harnesses deceit.You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son.These things you have done and I kept silent; You thought that I was just like you; I will rebuke you and present the case before your eyes.

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless.

‘ Who is this who conceals advice without knowledge?’ Therefore I have declared that which I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I do not know.

“ How long will you say these things, And the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?

For I will accept him so as not to do with you as your foolishness deserves, because you have not spoken of Me what is trustworthy, as My servant Job has.”

And it will come about at that time That I will search Jerusalem with lamps, And I will punish the people Who are stagnant in spirit, Who say in their hearts,‘ The Lord will not do good nor harm!’

For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to rein in the whole body as well.Now if we put the bits into the horses’ mouths so that they will obey us, we direct their whole body as well.Look at the ships too: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are nevertheless directed by a very small rudder wherever the inclination of the pilot determines.So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!And the tongue is a fire, the very world of unrighteousness; the tongue is set among our body’s parts as that which defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.For every species of beasts and birds, of reptiles and creatures of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by the human race.But no one among mankind can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people, who have been made in the likeness of God;from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way.

The good person brings out of his good treasure good things; and the evil person brings out of his evil treasure evil things.But I tell you that for every careless word that people speak, they will give an account of it on the day of judgment.For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

“ Your words have been arrogant against Me,” says the Lord.“ Yet you say,‘ What have we spoken against You?’You have said,‘ It is pointless to serve God; and what benefit is it for us that we have done what He required, and that we have walked in mourning before the Lord of armies?So now we call the arrogant blessed; not only are the doers of wickedness built up, but they also put God to the test and escape punishment.’ ”Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened attentively and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and esteem His name.
