If I say,“ Surely the darkness will overwhelm me. The light around me will be night,”

我若说：“黑暗必定遮蔽我，我周围的亮光必成为黑夜”，

我若说“黑暗必定压碎我，我周围的亮光必成为黑夜”，

我若说“黑暗必定压碎我，我周围的亮光必成为黑夜”，

我想，黑暗一定可以遮蔽我，让我四围变成黑夜。

如果我说：“愿黑暗遮盖我，愿我周围的亮光变成黑夜。”

就算我说：“黑暗必然覆盖我，我周围的亮光也必变为黑夜”，

我若說：黑暗必定遮蔽我，我周圍的亮光必成為黑夜；

我若說「黑暗必定壓碎我，我周圍的亮光必成為黑夜」，

我若說「黑暗必定壓碎我，我周圍的亮光必成為黑夜」，

我想，黑暗一定可以遮蔽我，讓我四圍變成黑夜。

如果我說：“願黑暗遮蓋我，願我周圍的亮光變成黑夜。”

我若說：『願黑暗遮蔽着我，願我周圍的光成為黑夜』，

就算我說：「黑暗必然覆蓋我，我周圍的亮光也必變為黑夜」，

若謂幽暗必蔽我、環我之光、變為昏夜、

如我匿於幽暗之所、自謂人不及見、其暗必光兮、

我若言黑暗能遮蔽我、以黑夜為我之光、以黑夜為我之光或作願我四圍之光明為黑夜

莫謂暗窒。靈鑒無形。

If I say,“ Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,”

Suppose I were to say,“ I’m sure the darkness will hide me. The light around me will become as dark as night.”

If I say,“ Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,”

I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night—

If I say,“ Surely the darkness will hide me, and the light around me will be night”—

If I say,“ Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,”

If I say,“ Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me;

If I say, Surely the darkness shall overwhelm me, And the light about me shall be night;

If I say,“ Surely the darkness will hide me, and the light around me will be night”—

If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

If I were to say,“ Certainly the darkness will cover me, and the light will turn to night all around me,”

He uncovers deep things out of darkness, and brings out to light the shadow of death.

They say,“ Yah will not see, neither will Jacob’s God consider.”

Can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I can’t see him?” says Yahweh.“ Don’t I fill heaven and earth?” says Yahweh.

He says in his heart,“ God has forgotten. He hides his face. He will never see it.”Arise, Yahweh! God, lift up your hand! Don’t forget the helpless.Why does the wicked person condemn God, and say in his heart,“ God won’t call me into account?”

“ Isn’t God in the heights of heaven? See the height of the stars, how high they are!You say,‘ What does God know? Can he judge through the thick darkness?Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he doesn’t see. He walks on the vault of the sky.’

Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from Yahweh, and whose deeds are in the dark, and who say,“ Who sees us?” and“ Who knows us?”
