主若究察罪愆、主歟、何人能立、

天下之人。誰無罪尤。主若深究。孰能無憂。

Lord, suppose you kept a close watch on sins. Lord, who then wouldn’t be found guilty?

If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

Lord, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive?

LORD, if you kept an account of iniquities, Lord, who could stand?

If You, Lord, were to keep account of guilty deeds, Lord, who could stand?

If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

If thou, Jehovah, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

Yahweh, if You considered sins, Lord, who could stand?

If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

If you, O LORD, were to keep track of sins, O Lord, who could stand before you?

If you, Yah, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?

Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you.

If I sinned, you would be watching me and would not let my offense go unpunished.

It is you alone who are to be feared. Who can stand before you when you are angry?

For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Even if I were innocent, my mouth would condemn me; if I were blameless, it would pronounce me guilty.

When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them,“ Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.

Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; the rocks are shattered before him.

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap.

“ Indeed, I know that this is true. But how can mere mortals prove their innocence before God?Though they wished to dispute with him, they could not answer him one time out of a thousand.

“ What are mortals, that they could be pure, or those born of woman, that they could be righteous?
