猶憶創國之始、雖境遇厄窮、亦未嘗為敵所勝兮、

從我幼時、敵人屢攻擊我、卻未曾勝我、

外患實頻仍。所幸未崩潰。

“ they have greatly oppressed me from my youth, but they have not gained the victory over me.

My enemies have treated me badly ever since I was a young nation. But they haven’t won the battle.

“ Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me.

From my earliest youth my enemies have persecuted me, but they have never defeated me.

since my youth they have often attacked me, but they have not prevailed against me.

“ Many times they have attacked me from my youth up; Yet they have not prevailed against me.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?As it is written:“ For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—

Those who trust in the Lord Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

He shall deliver you in six troubles, Yes, in seven no evil shall touch you.

You pushed me violently, that I might fall, But the Lord helped me.

As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
