You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.

Your work will give you what you need. Blessings and good things will come to you.

You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.

You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joyful and prosperous you will be!

You will surely eat what your hands have worked for. You will be happy, and it will go well for you.

The LORD swears an oath by his right hand, by his strong arm:“ I will never again give your grain to your enemies as food, and foreigners will not drink your wine, which you worked hard to produce.

Even though a sinner might commit a hundred crimes and still live a long time, yet I know that it will go well with God-fearing people– for they stand in fear before him.

“ that it may go well with you and that you will live a long time on the earth.”

Your children will be blessed, as well as the produce of your soil, the offspring of your livestock, the calves of your herds, and the lambs of your flocks.

I have seen personally what is the only beneficial and appropriate course of action for people: to eat and drink, and find enjoyment in all their hard work on earth during the few days of their life which God has given them, for this is their reward.To every man whom God has given wealth, and possessions, he has also given him the ability to eat from them, to receive his reward and to find enjoyment in his toil; these things are the gift of God.

So then, dear brothers and sisters, be firm. Do not be moved! Always be outstanding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

They will build houses and live in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.No longer will they build a house only to have another live in it, or plant a vineyard only to have another eat its fruit, for my people will live as long as trees, and my chosen ones will enjoy to the fullest what they have produced.They will not work in vain, or give birth to children that will experience disaster. For the LORD will bless their children and their descendants.

The LORD will greatly multiply your children, the offspring of your livestock, and the produce of your soil in the land which he promised your ancestors he would give you.

So this is what the sovereign LORD says:“ Look, my servants will eat, but you will be hungry! Look, my servants will drink, but you will be thirsty! Look, my servants will rejoice, but you will be humiliated!

They will devour the offspring of your livestock and the produce of your soil until you are destroyed. They will not leave you with any grain, new wine, olive oil, calves of your herds, or lambs of your flocks until they have destroyed you.

By the sweat of your brow you will eat food until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you will return.”

May the creditor seize all he owns! May strangers loot his property!

Does it make you any more of a king that you outstrip everyone else in building with cedar? Just think about your father. He was content that he had food and drink. He did what was just and right. So things went well with him.

You will plant vineyards and cultivate them, but you will not drink wine or gather in grapes, because worms will eat them.

Whenever the Israelites planted their crops, the Midianites, Amalekites, and the people from the east would attack them.They invaded the land and devoured its crops all the way to Gaza. They left nothing for the Israelites to eat, and they took away the sheep, oxen, and donkeys.When they invaded with their cattle and tents, they were as thick as locusts. Neither they nor their camels could be counted. They came to devour the land.Israel was so severely weakened by Midian that the Israelites cried out to the LORD for help.
