I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me.

I call out to the Lord when I’m in trouble, and he answers me.

I took my troubles to the Lord; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer.

In the days of His humanity, He offered up both prayers and pleas with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His devout behavior.

And being in agony, He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground].

Out of the depths I have cried to You, Lord.

Call upon Me on the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.”

Do not hide Your face from me on the day of my distress; Incline Your ear to me; On the day when I call answer me quickly.

The snares of death encompassed me And the terrors of Sheol came upon me; I found distress and sorrow.Then I called upon the name of the Lord:“ Please, Lord, save my life!”

And they said to him,“ This is what Hezekiah says:‘ This day is a day of distress, rebuke, and humiliation; for children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to deliver them.Perhaps the Lord your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to taunt the living God, and will avenge the words which the Lord your God has heard. Therefore, offer a prayer for the remnant that is left.’ ”

Then Hezekiah took the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went up to the house of the Lord and spread it out before the Lord.Hezekiah prayed to the Lord, saying,“ Lord of armies, God of Israel, who is enthroned above the cherubim, You are the God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You made heaven and earth.Incline Your ear, Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, Lord, and see; and listen to all the words of Sennacherib, who sent them to taunt the living God.Truly, Lord, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the countries and their lands,and have thrown their gods into the fire, for they were not gods but only the work of human hands, wood and stone. So they have destroyed them.But now Lord, our God, save us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, Lord, are God.”

I was glad when they said to me,“ Let’s go to the house of the Lord.”

Behold, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, Who serve by night in the house of the Lord!

Lord, my heart is not proud, nor my eyes arrogant; Nor do I involve myself in great matters, Or in things too difficult for me.

Remember, Lord, in David’s behalf, All his affliction;

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; He saved them from their distresses.

“ Many times they have attacked me from my youth up,” Let Israel say,

To You I have raised my eyes, You who are enthroned in the heavens!

Unless the Lord builds a house, They who build it labor in vain; Unless the Lord guards a city, The watchman stays awake in vain.

When the Lord brought back the captives of Zion, We were like those who dream.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to live together in unity!

I will raise my eyes to the mountains; From where will my help come?

Those who trust in the Lord Are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but remains forever.

From my distress I called upon the Lord; The Lord answered me and put me in an open space.

Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.

“ Had it not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel say,

Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord,and said,“ Please, Lord, just remember how I have walked before You wholeheartedly and in truth, and have done what is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept profusely.Then the word of the Lord came to Isaiah, saying,“ Go and say to Hezekiah,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of your father David says:“ I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.
