If I had not found encouragement in your law, I would have died in my sorrow.

If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.

Where would I be if I did not believe I would experience the LORD’s favor in the land of the living?

Distress and hardship confront me, yet I find delight in your commands.

For everything that was written in former times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we may have hope.

When you walk about, they will guide you; when you lie down, they will watch over you; when you wake up, they will talk to you.For the commandments are like a lamp, instruction is like a light, and rebukes of discipline are like the road leading to life,
