I will speak of your statutes before kings and will not be put to shame,

I will talk about your covenant laws to kings. I will not be put to shame.

Now Agrippa said to Paul,“ You are permitted to speak for yourself.” Then Paul extended his hand and proceeded to make his defense:“ Regarding all the things of which I am accused by the Jews, King Agrippa, I consider myself fortunate that I am about to make my defense before you today,

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

that you be driven away from mankind and your dwelling place be with the animals of the field, and you be given grass to eat like cattle and be drenched with the dew of heaven; and seven periods of time will pass over you, until you recognize that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind and bestows it on whomever He wishes.And in that it was commanded to leave the stump with the roots of the tree, your kingdom will remain as yours after you recognize that it is Heaven that rules.Therefore, O king, may my advice be pleasing to you: wipe away your sin by doing righteousness, and your wrongdoings by showing mercy to the poor, in case there may be a prolonging of your prosperity.’

and you will even be brought before governors and kings on My account, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for what you are to say will be given you in that hour.

Nebuchadnezzar the king to all the peoples, nations, and populations of all languages who live in all the earth:“ May your peace be great!I am pleased to declare the signs and miracles that the Most High God has done for me.How great are His signs And how mighty are His miracles! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And His dominion is from generation to generation.

Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God,

I will give You thanks with all my heart; I will sing Your praises before the gods.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed nego replied to the king,“ Nebuchadnezzar, we are not in need of an answer to give you concerning this matter.If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will rescue us from your hand, O king.But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods nor worship the golden statue that you have set up.”

While Paul was stating these things in his defense, Festus* said in a loud voice,“ Paul, you are out of your mind! Your great learning is driving you insane.”But Paul* said,“ I am not insane, most excellent Festus; on the contrary, I am speaking out with truthful and rational words.For the king knows about these matters, and I also speak to him with confidence, since I am persuaded that none of these things escape his notice; for this has not been done in a corner.King Agrippa, do you believe the Prophets? I know that you believe.”Agrippa replied to Paul,“ In a short time you are going to persuade me to make a Christian of myself.”And Paul said,“ I would wish to God that even in a short or long time not only you, but also all who hear me this day would become such as I myself am, except for these chains.”

If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory, and of God, rests upon you.Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler;but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.

according to my eager expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

Now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not draw back from Him in shame at His coming.
