The wicked will see and be vexed, they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.

Evil people will see it and be upset. They will grind their teeth and become weaker and weaker. What evil people long to do can’t succeed.

The wicked man sees it and is angry; he gnashes his teeth and melts away; the desire of the wicked will perish!

惡人設謀要害義人，向他咬牙。

願他們消滅，如急流的水一般；他們瞄準射箭的時候，箭頭彷彿折斷。願他們像蝸牛腐爛消失，又像婦人流掉的胎兒，未見天日。

義人的盼望帶來喜樂；惡人的指望必致滅沒。

求你向我顯出恩待我的憑據，使恨我的人看見就羞愧，因為你－耶和華幫助我，安慰了我。

他在陰間受苦，舉目遠遠地望見亞伯拉罕，又望見拉撒路在他懷裏，他就喊着說：『我祖亞伯拉罕哪，可憐我吧！請打發拉撒路來，用指頭尖蘸點水，涼涼我的舌頭，因為我在這火焰裏，極其痛苦。』亞伯拉罕說：『孩子啊，你該回想你生前享過福，拉撒路也同樣受過苦，如今他在這裏得安慰，你卻受痛苦。除此之外，在你們和我們之間，有深淵隔開，以致人要從這邊過到你們那邊是不可能的；要從那邊過到這邊也是不可能的。』

第五位天使把碗傾倒在獸的座位上，獸的國就變成黑暗。人因疼痛而咬自己的舌頭；又因所受的疼痛和生的瘡，就褻瀆天上的上帝，也沒有為他們的行為悔改。

凡忘記上帝的人，路途也是這樣；不虔敬人的指望要滅沒。

本國的子民反而被趕到外邊黑暗裏去，在那裏要哀哭切齒了。」

所以，主耶和華如此說：「看哪，我的僕人必得吃，你們卻飢餓；看哪，我的僕人必得喝，你們卻乾渴；看哪，我的僕人必歡喜，你們卻蒙羞。看哪，我的僕人因心中喜樂而歡呼，你們卻因心裏悲痛而哀哭，因靈裏憂傷而哀號。

於是王對侍從說：『捆起他的手腳，把他扔在外邊的黑暗裏；在那裏他要哀哭切齒了。』

於是哈曼把王袍給末底改穿上，領他騎着御馬走遍城裏的廣場，在他面前宣告：「王所喜愛要賜尊榮的人，就是這樣待他。」末底改仍回到朝門，哈曼卻憂憂悶悶地蒙着頭，急忙回家去了。
