The wicked will see and be vexed, they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.

第五位把他那一碗倒在獸的座位上；獸的國就變了黑暗。由於疼痛、人就咬着自己的舌頭；由於所受的疼痛、和所生的瘡、人就褻瀆天上的上帝，也不改悔他們所行的。

凡忘記上帝的人、其行徑也是這樣；不拜上帝的人、其希望一定滅沒。

而本國的子民竟被趕到外邊黑暗裏去；在那裏必有哀哭和切齒。』

因此主永恆主這麼說：『看吧，我的僕人必有的喫，但你們呢，卻要饑餓；看吧，我的僕人必有的喝，但你們呢，卻要乾渴；看吧，我的僕人必歡喜，但你們呢，卻要蒙羞；看吧，我的僕人必因心裏高興而歡呼，但你們呢，卻要因心裏傷痛而哀叫，因心靈破碎而哀號。

於是王對僕役們說：「把他捆起來，腳和手，丟出外邊的黑暗裏；在那裏有哀哭和切齒。」

於是哈曼將朝服給末底改穿上，將馬給他在城裏廣場上騎上，又在他面前宣告說：『王所喜歡顯貴的人應該這樣受款待。』末底改仍回到御門那裏；哈曼卻急急忙忙地回家去，帶着悲哀的心情，又蒙着頭。
