May the LORD rain down burning coals and brimstone on the wicked! A whirlwind is what they deserve!

將布羅網於惡人烈火硫磺炎颷、盈其杯兮、

電光閃兮硫火降、災飆發兮報施不爽、

主將網羅、烈火、硫磺、熱風、降於惡人之身、此乃惡人當得之報、

賢良蒙鍛鍊。所以玉其成。惟彼兇與暴。乃為主所憎。

On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot.

He will pour out flaming coals and burning sulfur on those who do what is wrong. A hot and dry wind will destroy them.

Let him rain coals on the wicked; fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked, punishing them with scorching winds.

Let him rain burning coals and sulfur on the wicked; let a scorching wind be the portion in their cup.

He will rain coals of fire upon the wicked, And brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.

Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind Shall be the portion of their cup.

Upon the wicked he will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.

He will rain burning coals and sulfur on the wicked; a scorching wind will be their portion.

Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest:[ this shall be] the portion of their cup.

On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

I will judge him with plague and bloodshed. I will rain down on him, his troops and the many peoples who are with him a torrential downpour, hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

For the LORD holds in his hand a cup full of foaming wine mixed with spices, and pours it out. Surely all the wicked of the earth will slurp it up and drink it to its very last drop.”

Then the LORD rained down sulfur and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah. It was sent down from the sky by the LORD.

“‘ Therefore this is what the sovereign LORD says: In my rage I will make a violent wind break out. In my anger there will be a deluge of rain and hailstones in destructive fury.

Fire resides in his tent; over his residence burning sulfur is scattered.

but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.

This is the portion of the wicked man allotted by God, the inheritance that evildoers receive from the Almighty.If his children increase– it is for the sword! His offspring never have enough to eat.Those who survive him are buried by the plague, and their widows do not mourn for them.If he piles up silver like dust and stores up clothing like mounds of clay,what he stores up a righteous man will wear, and an innocent man will inherit his silver.The house he builds is as fragile as a moth’s cocoon, like a hut that a watchman has made.He goes to bed wealthy, but will do so no more. When he opens his eyes, it is all gone.Terrors overwhelm him like a flood; at night a whirlwind carries him off.The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; it sweeps him out of his place.It hurls itself against him without pity as he flees headlong from its power.It claps its hands at him in derision and hisses him away from his place.

“ While he is filling his belly, God sends his burning anger against him, and rains down his blows upon him.

Samuel said to the cook,“ Give me the portion of meat that I gave to you– the one I asked you to keep with you.”

He sent hail along with the rain; there was lightning in their land.

Terror, pit, and snare are ready to overtake you inhabitants of the earth!The one who runs away from the sound of the terror will fall into the pit; the one who climbs out of the pit, will be trapped by the snare. For the floodgates of the heavens are opened up and the foundations of the earth shake.

Wake up! Wake up! Get up, O Jerusalem! You drank from the cup the LORD passed to you, which was full of his anger! You drained dry the goblet full of intoxicating wine.

But you will become drunk with shame, not majesty. Now it is your turn to drink and expose your uncircumcised foreskin! The cup of wine in the LORD’s right hand is coming to you, and disgrace will replace your majestic glory!

So the LORD, the God of Israel, spoke to me in a vision.“ Take this cup from my hand. It is filled with the wine of my wrath. Take it and make the nations to whom I send you drink it.When they have drunk it, they will stagger to and fro and act insane. For I will send wars sweeping through them.”So I took the cup from the LORD’s hand. I made all the nations to whom he sent me drink the wine of his wrath.

But Jesus said to Peter,“ Put your sword back into its sheath! Am I not to drink the cup that the Father has given me?”

“ At that time the people of Judah and Jerusalem will be told,‘ A scorching wind will sweep down from the hilltops in the desert on my dear people. It will not be a gentle breeze for winnowing the grain and blowing away the chaff.No, a wind too strong for that will come at my bidding. Yes, even now I, myself, am calling down judgment on them.’

He gave them portions of the food set before him, but the portion for Benjamin was five times greater than the portions for any of the others. They drank with Joseph until they all became drunk.

Whenever the day came for Elkanah to sacrifice, he used to give meat portions to his wife Peninnah and to all her sons and daughters.

LORD, you give me stability and prosperity; you make my future secure.

When Moses extended his staff toward the sky, the LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire fell to the earth; so the LORD caused hail to rain down on the land of Egypt.Hail fell and fire mingled with the hail; the hail was so severe that there had not been any like it in all the land of Egypt since it had become a nation.
