For he never thought of doing a kindness, but hounded to death the poor and the needy and the brokenhearted.

賢者求見應。處困不終日。

告其徒曰：『吾心鬱悒、悲苦欲絕！爾曹留此儆守。』少進、跪伏於地而禱、謂：『苟屬可能、願免歷此難時。』又曰：『阿爸！全能者父！盍免我飲此爵！雖然、莫從吾意、惟循父旨。』

爾不當憐爾同僚、一若予之憐爾乎？」君怒、發之獄吏、俟其清償所負。倘爾不本真心、各恕兄弟、則在天我父亦將以是待爾焉。』

彼佩弓與刀。欲殺賢與良。

惡人覷賢者。心中懷叵測。

夫主固知予之窘狀兮。一身受垢而蒙辱。吾敵無數兮。悉在爾目。飽受侮辱兮腸斷。幽憤填膺兮神昏。舉目無親。誰與同情。欲求相慰。闃其無人。人既令予嘗膽兮。又飲予以敗醯。願其筵席之化為羅網兮。俾紛紛然而自罹。願其目之喪明兮。願其腰之不支。願聖怒之加於其身兮。願其居室之成墟。予既受爾之懲創兮。彼又悻悻然而侮予。幸災而樂禍兮。加新痛於舊傷。願其罪上加罪兮。無與於吾主之恩光。願主除彼於生籍兮。勿廁之於義者之場。

詎知吾主兮早見。報應兮如電。窮苦兮無告。惟主兮是靠。孤兒兮無父。惟主兮是怙。

蓋不施矜憐者、被審判時、亦必不蒙矜憐。惟矜憐仁恕、能逍遙於審判之外。

惡人橫行兮無度。窮人被逼兮無路。設詭計兮逞狂圖。欺孤寡兮陷無辜。

既釘、鬮分其衣、坐而守之、置標於其釘之上端、上書：「斯為猶太人之王。」時有二盜、與耶穌同釘、一在右、一在左。過者搖首而誚之曰：『吁、爾既能毀聖殿、而於三日內復建之、蓋自救歟！爾果為天主之子、盍自脫於架。』司祭長經生耆老亦嘲曰：『彼能救人、不能救己。彼非義塞之王乎？盍自脫於架、俾我信之。彼既依恃天主、苟為天主所寵、天主當來救護、以彼自稱天主子故。』即同釘之盜、亦隨聲附和、加以嗤笑焉。自午至申、徧地晦冥。約申初耶穌大聲呼曰：『伊理伊理、拉瑪撒巴大呢！』即言：『主兮主兮、胡為棄我如遺！』

慈惠待人乃真福、自身必見慈惠渥。
