And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be Jehovah, who hath not left thee this day without a near kinsman; and let his name be famous in Israel.And he shall be unto thee a restorer of life, and a nourisher of thine old age, for thy daughter- in- law, who loveth thee, who is better to thee than seven sons, hath borne him.And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.And the women her neighbors gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

Children’s children are the crown of old men; And the glory of children are their fathers.

And after this Job lived a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, even four generations.

Behold, we call them blessed that endured: ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord, how that the Lord is full of pity, and merciful.

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, And lifteth up the needy from the dunghill;That he may set him with princes, Even with the princes of his people.He maketh the barren woman to keep house, And to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye Jehovah.

Yea, see thou thy children’s children. Peace be upon Israel.
