蓋憶其聖言、及其僕亞伯拉罕兮、

昔與僕亞伯拉罕有厥聖約、主念之弗忘兮、

皆因主記念昔向亞伯拉罕所許之聖言、

主永懷。夙所言。亦未忘。鼻祖賢。

For he remembered his holy promise given to his servant Abraham.

He remembered the holy promise he had made to his servant Abraham.

For he remembered his sacred promise to his servant Abraham.

So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

To show mercy to our fathers, And to remember His holy covenant,The oath which He swore to our father Abraham,

You will give truth to Jacob And favor to Abraham, Which You swore to our forefathers From the days of old.

The Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him,“ Now raise your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward, and eastward and westward;for all the land which you see I will give to you and to your descendants forever.I will make your descendants as plentiful as the dust of the earth, so that if anyone can count the dust of the earth, then your descendants could also be counted.Arise, walk about in the land through its length and width; for I will give it to you.”

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants to whom You swore by Yourself, and said to them,‘ I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heavens, and all this land of which I have spoken I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’ ”

He has given help to His servant Israel, In remembrance of His mercy,Just as He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and his descendants forever.”

Remember Your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; do not turn Your attention to the stubbornness of this people, or to their wickedness, or their sin.

Then God said to Abram,“ Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed for four hundred years.But I will also judge the nation whom they will serve, and afterward they will come out with many possessions.

And the Lord appeared to Abram and said,“ To your descendants I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.

It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you are going in to take possession of their land, but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord your God is driving them out from before you, and in order to confirm the oath which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

He has remembered His covenant forever, The word which He commanded to a thousand generations,The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac.Then He confirmed it to Jacob as a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant,Saying,“ To you I will give the land of Canaan As the portion of your inheritance,”
