[ As for] man, his days[ are] as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field;

The life of human beings is like grass. People grow like the flowers in the field.

As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field;

Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die.

All flesh[ is] grass, and all the goodliness thereof[ is] as the flower of the field:The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people[ is] grass.The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are[ as] a sleep: in the morning[ they are] like grass[ which] groweth up.In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

Man[ that is] born of a woman[ is] of few days, and full of trouble.He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.And dost thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?

He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.

Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty[ is] a fading flower, which[ are] on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
