So I said,“ My God, don’t let me die in the middle of my life. You will live for all time to come.

我说：“我的神啊，不要使我中年去世。你的年数世世无穷！”

我说：“我的上帝啊，不要使我中年去世。你的年数世世无穷！”

我说：“我的神啊，不要使我中年去世。你的年数世世无穷！”

我说：“我的上帝啊，你世代长存，求你不要叫我中年早逝。

所以我说：“我的神啊！求你不要使我中年去世，你的年数万代无疆。

我说：“我的神哪，不要在我年日的中途就把我带走！你的岁月世世代代长存。

我說：我的神啊，不要使我中年去世。你的年數世世無窮！

我說：「我的上帝啊，不要使我中年去世。你的年數世世無窮！」

我說：「我的神啊，不要使我中年去世。你的年數世世無窮！」

我說：「我的上帝啊，你世代長存，求你不要叫我中年早逝。

所以我說：“我的神啊！求你不要使我中年去世，你的年數萬代無疆。

以致我說：『我的上帝啊，不要使我於中年灰化上升哦！你的年歲代代無窮。』

我說：「我的神哪，不要在我年日的中途就把我帶走！你的歲月世世代代長存。

我曰、我上帝歟、爾年歷萬世、勿使我中年而逝兮、

禱曰、我之上帝、爾壽無疆、余年正壯、毋使予短折兮、

我即云、求我天主、莫使我中年逝世、惟主之年壽、永世無窮、

我躬逢聖怒。中道將衰落。

So I said:“ Do not take me away, my God, in the midst of my days; your years go on through all generations.

“ O my God,” I say,“ take me not away in the midst of my days— you whose years endure throughout all generations!”

But I cried to him,“ O my God, who lives forever, don’t take my life while I am so young!

I say,“ My God, do not take me in the middle of my life! Your years continue through all generations.

I say,“ My God, do not take me away in the middle of my days, Your years are throughout all generations.

I said,“ O my God, Do not take me away in the midst of my days; Your years are throughout all generations.

I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: Thy years are throughout all generations.

I say:“ My God, do not take me in the middle of my life! Your years continue through all generations.

I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years[ are] throughout all generations.

I say,“ O my God, please do not take me away in the middle of my life! You endure through all generations.

I said,“ My God, don’t take me away in the middle of my days. Your years are throughout all generations.

Leave me alone. Let me enjoy life again before I die.”

Lord, haven’t you existed forever? You are my holy God. You will never die. Lord, you have appointed the Babylonians to punish your people. My Rock, you have chosen them to judge us.

But Lord, you are seated on your throne forever. Your fame will continue for all time to come.

I said,“ I’m enjoying the best years of my life. Must I now go through the gates of death? Will the rest of my years be taken away from me?”I said,“ Lord, I’ll never see you again while I’m still alive. I’ll never see people anymore. I’ll never again be with those who live in this world.My body is like a shepherd’s tent. It has been pulled down and carried off. My life is like a piece of cloth that I’ve rolled up. You have cut it off from the loom. In a short period of time you have brought my life to an end.I waited patiently until sunrise. But like a lion you broke all my bones. In a short period of time you have brought my life to an end.I cried softly like a weak little bird. I sounded like a dove as I mourned. My eyes grew tired as I looked up toward heaven. Lord, my life is in danger. Please come and help me!“ But what can I say? You have promised to heal me. And you yourself have done it. Once I was proud and bitter. But now I will live the rest of my life free of pride.Lord, people find the will to live because you keep your promises. And my spirit also finds life in your promises. You brought me back to health. You let me live.I’m sure it was for my benefit that I suffered such great pain. You love me. You kept me from going down into the pit of death. You have put all my sins behind your back.People in the grave can’t praise you. Dead people can’t sing praise to you. Those who go down to the grave can’t hope for you to be faithful to them.It is those who are alive who praise you. And that’s what I’m doing today. Parents tell their children about how faithful you are.“ The Lord will save me. So we will sing and play music on stringed instruments. We will sing all the days of our lives in the Lord’ s temple.”When Hezekiah was sick, Isaiah had said,“ Press some figs together. Spread them on a piece of cloth. Apply them to Hezekiah’s boil. Then he’ll get well again.”At that time Hezekiah had asked,“ What will the sign be to prove I’ll go up to the Lord’ s temple?” That’s when the Lord had made the shadow go back ten steps.

“ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord God.“ I am the God who is, and who was, and who will come. I am the Mighty One.”

Lord, from the very beginning you have been like a home to us.Before you created the whole world and the mountains were made, from the beginning to the end you are God.

The Lord rules forever. He has set up his throne so that he can judge people.

I, John, am writing this letter. I am sending it to the seven churches in Asia Minor. May grace and peace come to you from God. He is the one who is, and who was, and who will come. May grace and peace come to you from the seven spirits. These spirits are in front of God’s throne.

How great God is! We’ll never completely understand him. We’ll never find out how long he has lived.
