Your hands have made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

Thus they shall know that I, the Lord their God, am with them, and they, the house of Israel, are My people,” says the Lord God.’“ You are My flock, the flock of My pasture; you are men, and I am your God,” says the Lord God.

To you it was shown, that you might know that the Lord Himself is God; there is none other besides Him.

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

‘ Your hands have made me and fashioned me, An intricate unity; Yet You would destroy me.Remember, I pray, that You have made me like clay. And will You turn me into dust again?Did you not pour me out like milk, And curdle me like cheese,Clothe me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews?You have granted me life and favor, And Your care has preserved my spirit.‘ And these things You have hidden in Your heart; I know that this was with You:

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God! Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men.For they speak against You wickedly; Your enemies take Your name in vain.Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies.Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.

So we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, Will give You thanks forever; We will show forth Your praise to all generations.

Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.

Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

But then, indeed, when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods.But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?

Now therefore, O Lord our God, I pray, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the Lord God, You alone.”

But He made His own people go forth like sheep, And guided them in the wilderness like a flock;

O Zion, You who bring good tidings, Get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, You who bring good tidings, Lift up your voice with strength, Lift it up, be not afraid; Say to the cities of Judah,“ Behold your God!”Behold, the Lord GOD shall come with a strong hand, And His arm shall rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him.He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, And carry them in His bosom, And gently lead those who are with young.

“ Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said,“ Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word.Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said,“ The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!”

We have become like those of old, over whom You never ruled, Those who were never called by Your name.

Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly;nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock;and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.

‘ For thus says the Lord GOD:“ Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.

This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’s, and He will give you into our hands.”

But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

O God, why have You cast us off forever? Why does Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture?Remember Your congregation, which You have purchased of old, The tribe of Your inheritance, which You have redeemed— This Mount Zion where You have dwelt.

But the Lord is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth will tremble, And the nations will not be able to endure His indignation.

Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.

Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying:“ Where is He who brought them up out of the sea With the shepherd of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within them,

For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

For the Lord is the great God, And the great King above all gods.

Does it seem good to You that You should oppress, That You should despise the work of Your hands, And smile on the counsel of the wicked?

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say,“ I have no pleasure in them”:

Who have said,“ With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; Who is Lord over us?”
