如今弟子啊，務要聽我，不可離棄我口中的訓言。

孩子們哪，現在你們當聽從我，不要偏離我口中的言語！

諸子宜聽、勿違我口所言、

爾小子、尚其聽之、毋棄我言。

眾子歟、務必聽我、勿棄我口所言、

孩子們，要聽父親的訓誨，留心明白道理。

不可使它們偏離你的眼目，要存記在你心中。

「孩子們，現在要聽從我，謹守我道的有福了。要聽訓誨，得智慧，不可棄絕。聽從我，天天在我門口守望，在我門框旁等候的，那人有福了。因為尋得我的，就尋得生命，他必蒙耶和華的恩惠。得罪我的，害了自己的生命，凡恨惡我的，喜愛死亡。」

孩子們，現在要聽從我，要留心聽我口中的言語。

我兒啊，要謹守健全的知識和智謀，不可使它們偏離你的眼目。

你要側耳聽智慧人的言語，留心領會我的知識。你若心中存記，嘴唇也準備就緒，這是美的。我今日特地指教你，為要使你倚靠耶和華。謀略和知識的美事，我豈沒有寫給你嗎？要使你明白真情實理，好將實情回覆那差你來的人。

你們總要謹慎，不可拒絕那向你們說話的，因為那些拒絕了在地上警戒他們的，尚且不能逃罪，何況我們違背那從天上警戒我們的呢？
