that you shall take some of the first of all the produce of the ground which you bring in from your land that the Lord your God gives you, and you shall put it in a basket and go to the place where the Lord your God chooses to establish His name.And you shall go to the priest who is in office at that time and say to him,‘ I declare today to the Lord my God that I have entered the land which the Lord swore to our fathers to give us.’Then the priest shall take the basket from your hand and set it before the altar of the Lord your God.And you shall respond and say before the Lord your God,‘ My father was a wandering Aramean, and he went down to Egypt and resided there, few in number; but there he became a great, mighty, and populous nation.And the Egyptians treated us badly and oppressed us, and imposed hard labor on us.Then we cried out to the Lord, the God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our wretched condition, our trouble, and our oppression;and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand, an outstretched arm, and with great terror, and with signs and wonders;and He has brought us to this place, and has given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.And now behold, I have brought the first of the produce of the ground which You, Lord have given me.’ Then you shall set it before the Lord your God, and worship before the Lord your God;and you, the Levite, and the stranger who is among you shall rejoice in all the good which the Lord your God has given you and your household.“ When you have finished paying all the tithe of your produce in the third year, the year of the tithe, then you shall give it to the Levite, to the stranger, to the orphan, and to the widow, so that they may eat in your towns and be satisfied.And you shall say before the Lord your God,‘ I have removed the sacred portion from my house, and have also given it to the Levite, the stranger, the orphan, and the widow, in accordance with all Your commandments which You have commanded me; I have not violated or forgotten any of Your commandments.I have not eaten of it while mourning, nor have I removed any of it while I was unclean, nor offered any of it to the dead. I have listened to the voice of the Lord my God; I have acted in accordance with everything that You have commanded me.Look down from Your holy dwelling place, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel, and the ground which You have given us, a land flowing with milk and honey just as You swore to our fathers.’

“ You shall bring the choice first fruits of your soil into the house of the Lord your God.“ You are not to boil a young goat in the milk of its mother.

Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek the profit which increases to your account.But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.

Then all the congregation of the sons of Israel departed from Moses’ presence.And everyone whose heart stirred him and everyone whose spirit moved him came and brought the Lord’s contribution for the work of the tent of meeting and for all its service, and for the holy garments.Then all whose hearts moved them, both men and women, came and brought brooches and earrings and signet rings and bracelets, all articles of gold; so did everyone who presented an offering of gold to the Lord.Everyone who was in possession of violet, purple, or scarlet material or fine linen or goats’ hair, or rams’ skins dyed red or fine leather, brought them.Everyone who could make a contribution of silver and bronze brought the Lord’s contribution; and everyone who was in possession of acacia wood for any work of the service brought it.And all the skilled women spun with their hands, and brought what they had spun, in violet, purple, and scarlet material, and in fine linen.And all the women whose heart stirred with a skill spun the goats’ hair.The rulers, moreover, brought the onyx stones and the stones for setting for the ephod and for the breastpiece;and the spice and the oil for the light and for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense.The Israelites, all the men and women, whose heart moved them to bring material for all the work, which the Lord had commanded through Moses to be done, brought a voluntary offering to the Lord.

“ You shall not hold back the offering from your entire harvest and your wine. The firstborn of your sons you shall give to Me.

For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want, you can do good to them; but you do not always have Me.She has done what she could; she has anointed My body beforehand for the burial.

“ You shall bring the very first of the first fruits of your soil into the house of the Lord your God.“ You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.”

“ Is it time for you yourselves to live in your paneled houses while this house remains desolate?”Now then, the Lord of armies says this:“ Consider your ways!You have sown much, only to harvest little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but there is not enough for anyone to get warm; and the one who earns, earns wages to put into a money bag full of holes.”The Lord of armies says this:“ Consider your ways!Go up to the mountains, bring wood, and rebuild the temple, that I may be pleased with it and be honored,” says the Lord.“ You start an ambitious project, but behold, it comes to little; when you bring it home, I blow it away. Why?” declares the Lord of armies.“ It is because of My house which remains desolate, while each of you runs to his own house.

One who oppresses the poor taunts his Maker, But one who is gracious to the needy honors Him.

that in a great ordeal of affliction their abundance of joy and their deep poverty overflowed in the wealth of their liberality.For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they gave voluntarily,

“ Would anyone rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say,‘ How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings.You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the entire nation of you!Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and put Me to the test now in this,” says the Lord of armies,“ if I do not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.

So we have brought as an offering to the Lord what each man found, articles of gold, armlets and bracelets, signet rings, earrings, and necklaces, to make atonement for ourselves before the Lord.”Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold from them, all kinds of crafted articles.All the gold of the offering which they offered up to the Lord, from the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds, was 16,750 shekels.The men of war had taken plunder, every man for himself.So Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold from the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it to the tent of meeting as a memorial for the sons of Israel before the Lord.

Then the leaders of Israel, the heads of their fathers’ households, made an offering( they were the leaders of the tribes; they were the supervisors over the numbered men).When they brought their offering before the Lord, six covered carts and twelve oxen, a cart for every two of the leaders and an ox for each one, then they presented them in front of the tabernacle.Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,“ Accept these things from them, that they may be used in the service of the tent of meeting, and you shall give them to the Levites, to each man according to his service.”So Moses took the carts and the oxen and gave them to the Levites.Two carts and four oxen he gave to the sons of Gershon, according to their service,and four carts and eight oxen he gave to the sons of Merari, according to their service, under the direction of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.But he did not give any to the sons of Kohath, because theirs was the service of the holy objects, which they carried on the shoulder.And the leaders offered the dedication offering for the altar when it was anointed, so the leaders offered their offering before the altar.Then the Lord said to Moses,“ They shall present their offering, one leader each day, for the dedication of the altar.”Now the one who presented his offering on the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah;and his offering was one silver dish whose weight was 130 shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels in sanctuary shekels, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;one gold pan of ten shekels, full of incense;one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, as a burnt offering;one male goat as a sin offering;and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the offering of Nahshon the son of Amminadab.On the second day Nethanel the son of Zuar, leader of Issachar, presented an offering;he presented as his offering one silver dish whose weight was 130 shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels in sanctuary shekels, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;one gold pan of ten shekels, full of incense;one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, as a burnt offering;one male goat as a sin offering;and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the offering of Nethanel the son of Zuar.On the third day it was Eliab the son of Helon, leader of the sons of Zebulun;his offering was also one silver dish whose weight was 130 shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels in sanctuary shekels, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;one gold pan of ten shekels, full of incense;one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, as a burnt offering;one male goat as a sin offering;and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the offering of Eliab the son of Helon.On the fourth day it was Elizur the son of Shedeur, leader of the sons of Reuben;his offering was also one silver dish whose weight was 130 shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels in sanctuary shekels, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;one gold pan of ten shekels, full of incense;one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, as a burnt offering;one male goat as a sin offering;and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the offering of Elizur the son of Shedeur.On the fifth day it was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai, leader of the sons of Simeon;his offering was also one silver dish whose weight was 130 shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels in sanctuary shekels, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;one gold pan of ten shekels, full of incense;one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, as a burnt offering;one male goat as a sin offering;and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the offering of Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.On the sixth day it was Eliasaph the son of Deuel, leader of the sons of Gad;his offering was also one silver dish whose weight was 130 shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels in sanctuary shekels, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;one gold pan of ten shekels, full of incense;one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, as a burnt offering;one male goat as a sin offering;and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the offering of Eliasaph the son of Deuel.On the seventh day it was Elishama the son of Ammihud, leader of the sons of Ephraim;his offering was also one silver dish whose weight was 130 shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels in sanctuary shekels, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;one gold pan of ten shekels, full of incense;one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, as a burnt offering;one male goat as a sin offering;and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the offering of Elishama the son of Ammihud.On the eighth day it was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur, leader of the sons of Manasseh;his offering was also one silver dish whose weight was 130 shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels in sanctuary shekels, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;one gold pan of ten shekels, full of incense;one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, as a burnt offering;one male goat as a sin offering;and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the offering of Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.On the ninth day it was Abidan the son of Gideoni, leader of the sons of Benjamin;his offering was also one silver dish whose weight was 130 shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels in sanctuary shekels, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;one gold pan of ten shekels, full of incense;one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, as a burnt offering;one male goat as a sin offering;and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the offering of Abidan the son of Gideoni.On the tenth day it was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai, leader of the sons of Dan;his offering was also one silver dish whose weight was 130 shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels in sanctuary shekels, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;one gold pan of ten shekels, full of incense;one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, as a burnt offering;one male goat as a sin offering;and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the offering of Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.On the eleventh day it was Pagiel the son of Ochran, leader of the sons of Asher;his offering was also one silver dish whose weight was 130 shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels in sanctuary shekels, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;one gold pan of ten shekels, full of incense;one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, as a burnt offering;one male goat as a sin offering;and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the offering of Pagiel the son of Ochran.On the twelfth day it was Ahira the son of Enan, leader of the sons of Naphtali;his offering was also one silver dish whose weight was 130 shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels in sanctuary shekels, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;one gold pan of ten shekels, full of incense;one bull, one ram, and one male lamb one year old, as a burnt offering;one male goat as a sin offering;and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs one year old. This was the offering of Ahira the son of Enan.This was the dedication offering for the altar from the leaders of Israel when it was anointed: twelve silver dishes, twelve silver bowls, and twelve gold pans,each silver dish weighing 130 shekels and each bowl seventy; all the silver of the utensils totaled 2,400 in sanctuary shekels;the twelve gold pans full of incense, weighing ten shekels apiece in sanctuary shekels, all the gold of the pans totaled 120 shekels.All the oxen for the burnt offering totaled twelve bulls, all the rams, twelve, the male lambs one year old with their grain offering, twelve, and the male goats as a sin offering, twelve;and all the oxen for the sacrifice of peace offerings totaled twenty four bulls, all the rams, sixty, the male goats, sixty, and the male lambs one year old, sixty. This was the dedication offering for the altar after it was anointed.Now when Moses entered the tent of meeting to speak with Him, he heard the voice speaking to him from above the atoning cover that was on the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim; so He spoke to him.

But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?Little children, let’s not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.

And Melchizedek the king of Salem brought out bread and wine; now he was a priest of God Most High.And he blessed him and said,“ Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth;And blessed be God Most High, Who has handed over your enemies to you.” And he gave him a tenth of everything.Then the king of Sodom said to Abram,“ Give the people to me and take the possessions for yourself.”

And this stone, which I have set up as a memorial stone, will be God’s house, and of everything that You give me I will assuredly give a tenth to You.”

But whenever you give a banquet, invite people who are poor, who have disabilities, who are limping, and people who are blind;and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

I am not saying this as a command, but as proving, through the earnestness of others, the sincerity of your love as well.For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.

Then Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went off to the chief priests in order to betray Him to them.They were delighted when they heard this, and promised to give him money. And he began seeking how to betray Him at an opportune time.On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb was being sacrificed, His disciples* said to Him,“ Where do You want us to go and prepare for You to eat the Passover?”And He* sent two of His disciples and* said to them,“ Go into the city, and a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you; follow him;and wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house,‘ The Teacher says,“ Where is My guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?” ’And he himself will show you a large upstairs room furnished and ready; prepare for us there.”The disciples left and came to the city, and found everything just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.When it was evening He* came with the twelve.And as they were reclining at the table and eating, Jesus said,“ Truly I say to you that one of you will betray Me— one who is eating with Me.”They began to be grieved and to say to Him one by one,“ Surely not I?”But He said to them,“ It is one of the twelve, the one who dips bread with Me in the bowl.For the Son of Man is going away just as it is written about Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”
