to bring rain on an uninhabited land, on a desert with no human life,to satisfy the parched wasteland and cause the grass to sprout?Does the rain have a father? Who fathered the drops of dew?

Can any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Or can the skies alone give showers? Are You not the Lord our God? We therefore put our hope in You, for You have done all these things.

Children of Zion, rejoice and be glad in the Lord your God, because He gives you the autumn rain for your vindication. He sends showers for you, both autumn and spring rain as before.

For He makes waterdrops evaporate; they distill the rain into its mist,which the clouds pour out and shower abundantly on mankind.

May God give to you— from the dew of the sky and from the richness of the land— an abundance of grain and new wine.

Who enclosed the sea behind doors when it burst from the womb,when I made the clouds its garment and thick darkness its blanket,when I determined its boundaries and put its bars and doors in place,when I declared:“ You may come this far, but no farther; your proud waves stop here”?
