One who is generous will be blessed, Because he gives some of his food to the poor.

You shall generously give to him, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your work, and in all your undertakings.

Now I say this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows generously will also reap generously.Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;as it is written:“ He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, His righteousness endures forever.”Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness;you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.

And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment.For he will never be shaken; The righteous will be remembered forever.He will not fear bad news; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.His heart is firm, he will not fear, But will look with satisfaction on his enemies.He has given freely to the poor, His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted in honor.

There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more, And there is one who withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in poverty.

So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you offer many prayers, I will not be listening. Your hands are covered with blood.

One who says to the wicked,“ You are righteous,” Peoples will curse him, nations will scold him;
