Be not a witness against your neighbor without cause, and do not deceive with your lips.

Do not testify against your neighbor without cause— would you use your lips to mislead?

A man who bears false witness against his neighbor is like a war club, or a sword, or a sharp arrow.

Now the chief priests and the whole Council were seeking false testimony against Jesus that they might put him to death,but they found none, though many false witnesses came forward. At last two came forward

But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled:‘ They hated me without a cause.’

And she wrote in the letters,“ Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth at the head of the people.And set two worthless men opposite him, and let them bring a charge against him, saying,‘ You have cursed God and the king.’ Then take him out and stone him to death.”And the men of his city, the elders and the leaders who lived in his city, did as Jezebel had sent word to them. As it was written in the letters that she had sent to them,they proclaimed a fast and set Naboth at the head of the people.And the two worthless men came in and sat opposite him. And the worthless men brought a charge against Naboth in the presence of the people, saying,“ Naboth cursed God and the king.” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones.

Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man? The steadfast love of God endures all the day.

Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Malicious witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I do not know.

A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness breathes out lies.

“ You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.

Then answered Doeg the Edomite, who stood by the servants of Saul,“ I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub,and he inquired of the Lord for him and gave him provisions and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.”

Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices

And the Lord said to Satan,“ Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil? He still holds fast his integrity, although you incited me against him to destroy him without reason.”

A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish.

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

For without cause they hid their net for me; without cause they dug a pit for my life.

“ You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

And he said,“ Why? what evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more,“ Let him be crucified!”

A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will not escape.

A false witness will perish, but the word of a man who hears will endure.
