惡者剛愎厥心、善者慎思所行。

惡人無廉恥、正直者謹慎所行、

The wicked put up a bold front, but the upright give thought to their ways.

Sinful people try to look as if they were bold. But honest people think about how they live.

A wicked man puts on a bold face, but the upright gives thought to his ways.

The wicked bluff their way through, but the virtuous think before they act.

A wicked person puts on a bold face, but the upright one considers his way.

A wicked person displays a bold face, But as for the upright, he makes his way sure.

A wicked man hardens his face, But as for the upright, he establishes his way.

A wicked man hardeneth his face; But as for the upright, he establisheth his ways.

完全人的義必指引他的路；但惡人必因自己的惡跌倒。

現在你們要追想，此日以前，耶和華的殿沒有一塊石頭壘在石頭上的光景。

因為他思量，回頭離開所犯的一切罪過，必定存活，不致死亡。

現在萬軍之耶和華如此說：你們要省察自己的行為。

常存敬畏的，便為有福；心存剛硬的，必陷在禍患裏。

人屢次受責罰，仍然硬着頸項；他必頃刻敗壞，無法可治。

願神－我們的父和我們的主耶穌一直引領我們到你們那裏去。

你向淨光的高處舉目觀看，你在何處沒有淫行呢？你坐在道旁等候，好像阿拉伯人在曠野埋伏一樣，並且你的淫行邪惡玷污了全地。因此甘霖停止，春雨不降。你還是有娼妓之臉，不顧羞恥。

我思想我所行的道，就轉步歸向你的法度。

他們行可憎的事知道慚愧嗎？不然，他們毫不慚愧，也不知羞恥。因此他們必在仆倒的人中仆倒；我向他們討罪的時候，他們必致跌倒。這是耶和華說的。

萬軍之耶和華如此說：「你們要省察自己的行為。

「論到你奉耶和華的名向我們所說的話，我們必不聽從。我們定要成就我們口中所出的一切話，向天后燒香、澆奠祭，按着我們與我們列祖、君王、首領在猶大的城邑中和耶路撒冷的街市上素常所行的一樣；因為那時我們吃飽飯、享福樂，並不見災禍。

他醒悟過來，就說：『我父親有多少的雇工，口糧有餘，我倒在這裏餓死嗎？我要起來，到我父親那裏去，向他說：父親！我得罪了天，又得罪了你；

但願我行事堅定，得以遵守你的律例。

你們要追想此日以前，就是從這九月二十四日起，追想到立耶和華殿根基的日子。倉裏有穀種嗎？葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹、橄欖樹都沒有結果子。從今日起，我必賜福與你們。

耶和華啊，你的眼目不是看顧誠實嗎？你擊打他們，他們卻不傷慟；你毀滅他們，他們仍不受懲治。他們使臉剛硬過於磐石，不肯回頭。
