好讥笑人的受刑罚的时候，愚蒙人就得着智慧；智慧人受训诲的时候，他就得着知识。

讥讽者受惩罚时，无知人就得智慧；智慧人受训诲时，自己就得到知识。

褻慢的人受刑罰，愚蒙的人就得智慧；智慧人受訓誨，便得知識。

When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom; by paying attention to the wise they get knowledge.

When you punish someone who makes fun of others, childish people get wise. By paying attention to wise people, the childish get knowledge.

When a scoffer is punished, the simple becomes wise; when a wise man is instructed, he gains knowledge.

If you punish a mocker, the simpleminded become wise; if you instruct the wise, they will be all the wiser.

When a mocker is punished, the inexperienced become wiser; when one teaches a wise man, he acquires knowledge.

責打傲慢人，能使無知的人變精明；責備聰明人，他就明白知識。

這些事都是我們的鑒戒，使我們不要貪戀惡事，像他們貪戀過的一樣。也不要拜偶像，像他們中有些人曾經拜過。如經上所記：「百姓坐下吃喝，起來玩樂。」我們也不可犯姦淫，像他們中有些人曾經犯過，一天就倒斃了二萬三千人。也不可試探主，像他們中有些人曾試探主就被蛇咬死。你們也不可發怨言，像他們中有些人曾經發過，就被毀滅者所滅。這些事發生在他們身上，要作為鑒戒，而且寫下來正是要警戒我們這末世的人。

聰明人的心得知識；智慧人的耳求知識。

教導智慧人，他就越有智慧，指示義人，他就增長學問。

但上帝要用箭射他們，他們忽然受了傷。他們必然絆跌，被自己的舌頭所害；凡看見他們的都必搖頭。眾人都要害怕，要傳揚上帝的工作，並且明白他的作為。

亞拿尼亞一聽見這些話，就仆倒，斷了氣；所有聽見的人都非常懼怕。

全以色列都要聽見而害怕，不敢在你中間再行這樣的惡事了。

智慧人聽見，增長學問，聰明人得着智謀，

聰明人的心追求知識；愚昧人的口吞吃愚昧。

全教會和所有聽見這些事的人都非常懼怕。主藉使徒的手在民間行了許多神蹟奇事；他們都同心合意地聚集在所羅門的廊下。其餘的人沒有一個敢接近他們，百姓卻尊重他們。信主的人越發增添，連男帶女都很多，

然後，城裏的眾人就要用石頭將他打死。這樣，你就把惡從你中間除掉，全以色列聽見了都要害怕。」

孤僻的人只顧自己的心願，他鄙視一切健全的知識。

所以，我們必須越發注意所聽見的道，免得我們隨流失去。既然那藉着天使所傳的話是確定的，凡違背不聽從的，都受了該受的報應；我們若忽略這麼大的救恩，怎能逃避呢？這拯救起先是主親自講的，後來是聽見的人給我們證實了。

任何人干犯摩西的律法，憑兩個或三個證人，尚且必須處死，不得寬赦，更何況踐踏上帝兒子的人，他們將那使他成聖之約的血當作不潔淨，又褻慢施恩的聖靈的人，你們想，他不該受更嚴厲的懲罰嗎？

正在那時候，地大震動，城倒塌了十分之一；因地震而死的有七千人，其餘的都恐懼，歸榮耀給天上的上帝。

在他們四圍的以色列眾人聽見他們的叫聲，就都逃跑，說：「恐怕地也要把我們吞下去了！」
